Tina Sparkles on Murketing

June 18, 2008 by jennifer perkins Leave a Comment

Typically Rob Walker writes the Consumed Column for The New York Times, but as of late he has taken time out to write a book and do a little interviewing on his blog Murketing. Rob’s book is Buying In: The Secret Dialogue Between What We Buy and Who We Are and it is a fascinating look at people’s consumer habits. There is a section within the book called The Punk of Craft where Rob chats with several pioneers of the Indie Craft world. To coincide with the release of Buying In Mr. Walker interviewed a few of these crafters including one of my close friends and fellow Austin Craft Mafia member Tina Sparkles.

Check out Rob’s blog Murketing to read the interview with Tina and learn about how watching The Story of Stuff changed her whole business model, her upcoming book Little Green Dresses and her experience on TV.
