Craft Artist Interview With Lisa Ferrel

Today we are interviewing   Lisa Ferrel from  myfingersfly.com
We reached out to Lisa and asked her some crafty business DIY questions. This interview is about getting to know like-minded business owners who love craft and DIY too.
Where do you find inspiration for your projects? *
Family
Can you remember what was your first project? *
The first thing I ever completed in crochet was a saddle blanket for my horse when I was 16 years old.
Who taught you how to craft? *
Sewing and embroider – my mother. Knitting – my father. Crocheting – my grandmother and then a coworker.
What has been your favorite project so far? *
Horny Toad Plush Toy
Have you always worked in the same craft medium or do you like to use other materials too? *
I’m open to anything, but my favorite is crocheting with worsted yarn.
Can you share any secrets? What are you currently working on? *
Advent calendar of crochet patterns
How do you find the time to work on your projects? *
Every evening after dinner I have a few hours to crochet. During the day I focus on working on my online shop and making video tutorials.
Do you have tips for crafters and artists just starting out? *
Patience and practice.
Who are your favorite artists and why? *
So many designers! I love their cute patterns. Shannon Holding of The Loophole Fox Crochet Joy Pham Sontakke of Anvi’s Granny Crochet Julia of Wayward Pineapple Creations
Everyone has that dream project they want to work on, what is yours? *
I keep a running list; so far I’m up to 3 years’ worth of crocheting.
